Remembrance Day

We will be reflecting upon Remembrance Day as a school in an assembly November 12 at 10:50 am. Families and friends of OES are invited to gather for about an hour in the gym as we mark this occasion with singing, poetry and other readings, artwork by the students and presentations by invited guests.

Please send your child to school in appropriate clothing, wearing a red or white shirt and black pants or skirt on the bottom.  A red or black dress is also appropriate.  If s/he has a poppy they are encouraged to wear it as well.  Poppies will be available in the office during the month of November to those who wish to make a donation in support of veterans.

Thank you for you continued support and please contact Mr. I or Mrs. Frank if you have any questions.

Interim Report Cards

Interim Report Cards are available on the Mozaik Parent Portal.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher interviews will take place on November 27th and 28th. A link will be sent out by email to reserve a meeting time. Please be sure to select the correct teacher and reserve a time slot for each of your children separately.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Flexible Pedagogy

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) have now been sent home.

To accompany the IEPs, we have also included a document that explains the teaching strategies and classroom supports that are available to all students, also known as Flexible Pedagogy. This document helps clarify the difference between adaptations, modifications, and flexible pedagogy, so families can better understand how each type of support helps meet individual learning needs.

If you have any questions about your child’s IEP or the Flexible Pedagogy document, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

đŸƒâ€â™€ïž Terry Fox Run

Congratulations to all our students and staff who participated in this year’s Terry Fox Run! Together, we raised an incredible $3,936.05 in support of cancer research.

If you’d still like to contribute, it’s not too late. Donations can be made through our school’s page at the following link: Terry Fox School Run.

Thank you for your generosity and for keeping Terry’s dream alive!

School Fees

Student supervision fees can be paid through your financial institution. Invoices are issued monthly through the mozaik portal, but you may also choose to pay the full amount at once. The total supervision fee is $180 per child per year.

Please note: Supervision fees are already included in daycare fees. If your child is registered in daycare, you will not receive a separate supervision invoice.

Book fees are charged separately. An invoice for book fees will be issued in November.

If you have any questions regarding daycare fees or supervision fees, please contact Lisa Tremblay at ltremblay@nfsb.qc.ca.

PPO Fundraisers!

Our apple fundraiser was yet again a success. Thank you for your generous contributions and to our PPO for coordinating the event.

Here is some information regarding upcoming fundraisers:

Volunteering at OES

Are you interested in volunteering at OES this year? We are always looking for volunteers to support our library breakfast club, field trips, fundraising initiatives (PPO), and various school events throughout the year.

Please note that all volunteers are required to complete a Declaration Concerning a Judicial Record form. Once completed, bring the form to the school office, and our secretary will make copies of two pieces of identification to submit along with it.

We sincerely appreciate your offer of time and support. Our volunteers make a world of difference at OES!
