Truth and Reconciliation Day

On September 30, we will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, a time to honour Residential School Survivors and reflect on the importance of reconciliation. Families are encouraged to send their children to school wearing an orange shirt to show that Every Child Matters.

Picture Day

Picture Day will be on September 17th. Students will have the opportunity to have an individual picture taken and participate in a group picture.

Curriculum Night

Our Curriculum Night will take place on Sept 17th. We will begin at 6:30 p.m. with general school information and a showcase of current projects, followed by our Annual General Meeting. During the AGM, we will hold elections for new Governing Board members and a Parent Committee Rep.

Classroom sessions will follow at 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. No appointments are needed, so feel free to join us at your convenience. Please note that these are group sessions and not individual interviews. The first set of parent-teacher interviews will be held on November 28th and 29th.

Terry Fox Run

OES will be holding our annual Terry Fox run on September 23rd at 1:30pm. Parents are welcome to join us for the run/walk/jog. You can support this important cause by donating online at the link below or sending money to the school in a sealed envelope. A minimum donation of $4 is suggested, but feel free to raise more. Every contribution makes a difference – thank you for your support!

Absences

All student absences must be reported through the Mosaik Portal (PC) or the Clic École App

📌 Reminder: There is no need to call the school if the absence has been entered in Mosaik/clic école.
